The Return of Iljimae-Sandara Park

The story is about a man fighting against the selfish and corrupt government to save the ordinary peasants. Iljimae was abandoned by his birth father and adopted by a Chinese couple. He returns to Korea to find his birth family and realizes how unjust the world really is. He watched as his first love, Dal Yi, was wrongfully put to death. Iljimae then vows to help the commoners from the corrupt government officials.
The lead character of the drama, Iljime, is a revered hero of Korea and will be played by young actor Jung Il Woo. According to Sandara, this is the actor’s first serious role that’s why Iljime is a highly anticipated drama in Korea, which is another reason why she is glad to have made it on the show. Sandara said that she finds her role on the show kind of ironic for she plays someone Japanese. “Rie is the name of my role.. Interesting coz Rie is a Japanese. I'm already in Korea yet my role is a Japanese. Hahaha! Rie, is a ninja who will meet Iljimae, he will teach martial arts to the ninjas and Rie will fall in love with her.. Sandara Park, actress and singer, who is also well known for being the Philippine Boa, will make her first official appearance on Korean television.
Sandara Park moved to the Philippines with her family when she was in the 5th grade and she placed 2nd on ABS-CBN's Star Circle Quest, a survival program. After this, she participated in movies, dramas and advertisements that was popular not only in the Philippines, but also in Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia, making her a star in South East Asia. She first made her appearance on Korean TV on KBS2, and was given the nickname 'Philippine Boa'. After her 3 year contract with ABS-CBN, she returned to Seoul, and has already been training to be an actress for a year.

Her management company stated that it is the first time that she will appear as an actress in front of her fans here in Korea, making it much more meaningful.' They also revealed that 'she is of course trained as an actress, and also in preparation to start activities as a singer'.
Sandara Park is currently in Korea. This is in response to people looking for the Pambansang Krung Krung ng Pilipinas. Sandara Park joined Korea’s popular group 2NE1 and the newest member of 2NE1 created by YG Entertainment. 2NE1 is also called New Evolution of the 21st century.
